     I would first like to thank the delegation at our 106^th TSALC Convention in Tyler for their overwhelming support.  Serving as your Secretary for the past eight years has been a very rewarding experience for me; being elected to serve for the next two years will be that much more of a reward!  I understand that several issues were brought up concerning the convention booklet.  Unfortunately, errors do happen.  One of my goals in conducting business is meeting deadlines; when dates are extended, missed or avoided, more errors are likely to occur. Due to a change of assignment by the board, information was sent for print in an extreme rush; leaving no time for a thorough proof read.

     Secondly, I want to thank all the delegates who signed up or increased their COLPE contribution.  If we have ever needed funds for preserving our jobs and benefits; we definitely need them now!  To the delegate who contributed cash at the COLCPE table, please contact me; it’s only fair you receive proper credit.  Since returning from convention, national has contacted us concerning some very important issues going on in Washington.  We have to have men/women in office who hear our voices and understand our concerns.  Surely, those who are reading this are signed up as E-Activists; now it is our job to spread (or sign up) these emails with other members so that Congress can be contacted in numbers.
